Personal storage FAQs

What types of vehicles can I store?
You can store cars (including classic and prestige vehicles), motorcycles, caravans, camper trailers, boats on trailers, jet skis, work vehicles, utes, vans and box trailers. We have both indoor and outdoor options. Call (03) 9444 7991 with your vehicle’s length and width and we’ll confirm what fits.
What's the difference between indoor and outdoor vehicle storage?
Indoor vehicle storage is a sealed individual unit, ideal for classic cars, prestige vehicles, motorcycles and anything that needs protection from weather, dust and UV. Outdoor vehicle storage is a marked bay in our secure, monitored yard, well suited to daily drivers, caravans, camper trailers and boats on trailers. Both options give you 7-day access and CCTV coverage.
Does my vehicle need to be registered to be stored?
For outdoor vehicle storage at All In Self Storage, your vehicle should be registered or on club permit (or stored on a registered trailer). For indoor unit storage, unregistered vehicles are generally fine, but they must be in driveable condition or able to be wheeled in. We’ll confirm what works for your situation when you book.
Is my vehicle safe in self storage?
Yes. Our facilities use 24/7 CCTV, PIN-coded gate access and on-site management. Indoor units protect against weather, dust, UV and prying eyes, ideal for classic cars and bikes. Outdoor bays are well-lit and monitored. We recommend keeping your comprehensive vehicle insurance current; most policies cover off-site storage.
How often can I access my stored vehicle?
Access is 7 days a week from 6am to 10pm, perfect if you store a caravan and want to grab it for a Friday night getaway. After-hours access can be arranged for long-term customers. Drive-up vehicle bays mean you can get in, get out and be on the road in minutes.
Should I prepare my vehicle before long-term storage?
For storage longer than a month or two: top up the fuel tank (full tanks prevent condensation), give it a clean and a wax, check tyres are at the right pressure, disconnect the battery (or use a trickle charger) and place desiccant or charcoal inside to absorb moisture. For caravans and boats, drain water tanks and leave doors slightly ajar with the unit closed. Ask our team for a full long-term storage checklist.
Can I store a caravan, boat or trailer?
Yes. Caravans, camper trailers, boats on trailers and box trailers are all welcome. Outdoor bays are sized to suit standard caravans and trailers; oversized rigs may need a custom space. Tell us the overall length (including drawbar or motor) and the width when you book and we’ll confirm a bay that fits.
